Gamma charges in two currencies, and only one of them is simple. You buy a per-user subscription (Free, Plus, Pro, Ultra, Teams or Business), and then every AI action spends credits out of that plan's monthly allowance. Gamma's help center documents the allowances exactly: Plus includes 1,000 monthly credits, Pro 4,000 and Ultra 20,000, with unused credits rolling over to a ceiling of double the monthly allocation. What is not resolved anywhere is the exchange rate. Gamma meters presentations at 1 to 3 credits per card, and which rate you pay "varies by the text generation model Gamma selects internally", a choice you never make and are never shown. Images run from 2 credits to 125 depending on the model tier. Gamma's own worked example of a 20-card document with 15 premium images spans 320 to 1,070 credits, a 3.3x spread on one described deck, and the company states plainly that "credit consumption rates and the actions that consume credits are subject to change". The single hard dollar anchor Gamma publishes is the top-up rate, 1,500 credits for $6, which values one credit at about $0.004 and puts a basic 10-card deck somewhere between 8 and 24 cents. Budget the seats precisely. Treat the output as a range.

A flat price instead of a meter

Credit allowances for Plus, Pro and Ultra are stated outright in Gamma's help center. Teams and Business are derived from the rollover ceilings Gamma publishes for them, applying the same documented rule that unused credits roll over to double the monthly allocation. The two output columns apply Gamma's own worked examples: a 10-card deck with 5 basic images costs 20 to 60 credits, and a 20-card document with 15 premium images costs 320 to 1,070.

Two things follow from the ledger higher up this page, and they point in opposite directions. If your team makes a handful of text-led decks a month, Gamma is cheap and the credit meter will never bind: a Plus seat covers up to fifty basic decks, and unused credits roll into next month. If you produce image-heavy client work, the same Plus seat may not cover three documents, and you will discover that at the point the balance runs out rather than at the point you signed. The honest read is that Gamma pricing is generous for light use and unpredictable for heavy use, which is the reverse of how most software is priced.
The credit meter is separate from the question of what comes out the other end.
