Which Notion export to pick, and what each one carries into a deck
Notion offers several export formats and they are not interchangeable for this purpose. The format you choose decides how cleanly your headings and table figures reach a converter. DocSlide takes a PDF or .docx upload or pasted text, so Markdown is pasted and PDF is uploaded. One change worth knowing about before you build a routine on it: Notion has said the option to export workspace content as PDF is going away, rolled out gradually through August 31, 2026.

What about Notion agents making a PowerPoint for you?
Worth separating, because it is a different thing from an export and the difference decides whether it fits your job.
Notion's AI agents have been widely reported since the July 2026 release to be able to produce Office files, including a .pptx, when you ask one on the page. We have not been able to confirm that in Notion's own documentation: its export help page does not mention PowerPoint at all, and Notion's developer documentation index lists no presentation or pptx endpoint, so there is nothing to automate against either. Treat the capability as real but undocumented, and check it in your own workspace before you plan a deadline around it.
The more important point is what it does. An agent generates a deck from your page, it does not convert your page. It writes new slide copy in its own words. That is genuinely useful for a first draft of something nobody has written yet, and it is the wrong tool when specific wording has to survive, which is most approved documents: a policy, a client commitment, a set of figures that were signed off. Exporting the page and rebuilding it keeps your text as your text.
The Notion export change to plan around before August 31, 2026
If your team's route out of Notion is a workspace-wide PDF, it is being withdrawn. Notion states that "The option to export workspace content as a PDF is going away" and that "This change will be rolled out to workspaces gradually between now and August 31, 2026." Exporting a single page as PDF is unaffected.
For deck building this matters less than it sounds, because PDF was never the format to pick here. A single-page PDF upload or a pasted Markdown export both keep your heading levels and your figures as text, which is what lets the numbers reach the slide as editable text. If you are running a bulk export, note Notion's own limits: "Exports can take up to 30 hours to process" and the download "link will expire after 7 days", so start it well before you need the decks.
