Refund Policy
Effective October 14, 2026
Payments for DocSlide are final. We return a charge only in the three situations listed under "When a charge is returned", and only where our records confirm the claim. This policy forms part of our Terms of Service.
A subscription to the deck maker
Every DocSlide plan is a monthly or yearly subscription. It opens the AI presentation maker for your account or team, so you can turn documents into slide decks, edit them, apply your brand and export them, within the limits listed for your plan on the pricing page. All of it is available from the first day of each period, and the price is the same whether you build one deck or fifty.
When you subscribe, you ask us to start the service immediately and accept that any statutory right of withdrawal or cooling-off period that would otherwise apply ends once the service has begun.
When a charge is not returned
- You no longer need decks, the pitch or project is over, or you changed your mind.
- You built fewer decks or exports than the plan allows, or did not log in during the period.
- You did not like the layout, wording or images of an AI draft. Drafts are a starting point that you edit and approve, and regenerating is part of the plan.
- A source document was scanned, protected, damaged or too thin to build slides from.
- An exported deck looked different in another presentation app or on another device.
- A renewal collected after one or more declined card attempts.
- You took the plan for a one-off purchase. Every plan renews automatically, as the pricing page, checkout, confirmation email and account all state.
- You forgot to cancel before the renewal date, or cancelled straight after a renewal.
- A feature you expected is not listed for your plan on the pricing page.
- You picked the wrong plan, billing period or number of seats.
- A teammate or anyone else with your login used the account.
- The rest of a period after you cancel. Your plan runs to the end of the paid period and is not pro-rated.
When a charge is returned
- Double charge. Our billing took payment twice for the same period.
- Unauthorised use of your card. You report it within 14 days of the charge, and the account and payment records support it. We rely on those records, which we review with our payment operator, not on the claim alone, and we may ask you to confirm that you have reported the misuse to your card issuer.
- DocSlide not working at all. A fault we confirm on our side made the service completely unusable for a continuous period, you reported it while it was happening, and we could not fix it. Slow generation, a single failed export, or a problem with your own device, browser or network does not qualify.
A refund we approve is no more than you paid for the affected period, goes back to the card that was charged, and is our entire liability for that charge. It does not create a right to any further refund. The Enterprise service level does not add service credits or refunds beyond this.
How to ask
Email [email protected] from the address on your account within 14 days of the charge. Give the date, the amount and the situation from the list above that applies. Requests made later, or from an address we cannot match to an account, are not reviewed. We handle requests in the order received and do not reopen a declined one.
Opening a chargeback with your bank without contacting us first breaches our Terms of Service, and the account is closed permanently.
Cancelling, renewals and failed payments
You can cancel from your account at any time, without contacting us. Cancelling stops all future renewals immediately, and you keep your plan and your decks until the end of the period already paid for. A cancellation is not a refund request.
Each new period begins on the renewal date shown in your account and its payment is due from then. If your card is declined, our payment operator retries the same invoice over the next days; a retry is not an extra charge. Cancelling during retries stops the renewals that follow, while the period already begun stays payable and is not refunded, even if the payment goes through a few days late.
Records we keep
Creating an account means accepting our Terms of Service, which include this policy and our Privacy Policy. Checkout shows the plan, price, billing period and automatic renewal before payment, and the confirmation email repeats them.
For each subscription we keep the purchase time, the plan and price shown at checkout, your acceptance of the terms, the emails we sent, renewal notices, and an activity log of the account, such as sign-ins, documents uploaded, decks generated and exports downloaded, with the technical details logged alongside. Our payment operator keeps its own record of each charge, including the card's country of issue, where the payment came from and the result of bank authentication such as 3D Secure. Refund and dispute claims are assessed against these records, and we provide them to the card issuer if a chargeback is opened.
Purchases before October 14, 2026
Subscriptions bought before this date keep the refund terms in force on the day of purchase.
